Walking down the street one beautiful sunny April Saturday, I came upon the swap meet of the Longboard Collector Club. The club was started in 1992 in Southern California. Many of the surfboards date back to the 1960’s and 1970’s. There are references to many Southern Calfornia beach towns on various surfboard logos and in the books, magazines, posters, old photos, and art that is also displayed and on sale. I saw boards and memorabilia that came from Cardiff, Downey, La Jolla, Palos Verdes, Santa Monica, San Diego, Seal Beach and Solana Beach.
